COTA ACT Announces Distinguished Winners of the 2023 Seniors Achievement Awards
Canberra, Friday 24th November 2023 — COTA ACT (Council on the Ageing ACT) is delighted to reveal the outstanding winners of the 2023 Seniors Achievement Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations that have made remarkable contributions to the well-being, social advancement and quality of life of senior citizens in the Canberra community. COTA ACT prides itself on getting the opportunity to spotlight organisations and people who may not always have a big platform but that definitely have a big impact in the seniors community.
The broad range of winners showcase achievements in the field of aged care, education, outstanding service, diversity and inclusion and social justice and advocacy. The winners are:
The LDK Seniors Achievement Award – Vijay Puri of the Indian Senior Citizens Association
The ACT Human Rights Commission Seniors Achievement Award for social justice and advocacy – Lina Webber of ACT Policing
