2026 Positive Ageing Awards

Celebrating the organisations making a difference for older Canberrans

Nominations are now open for the annual ACT Positive Ageing Awards.

Older Canberrans make an enormous contribution to our community – and they deserve excellent services, businesses and organisations that recognise their value, understand their needs and help them to live connected, active and fulfilling lives.

The ACT Positive Ageing Awards will celebrate the businesses, organisations and services across our region that are making a genuine difference to the lives of older Canberrans.

This year, the Awards have a renewed focus on the organisations and services that support older people – whether through aged care, health and wellbeing, education and recreation, social connection, advocacy, accessibility, customer service or creating more inclusive communities.

The Awards will be presented as part of the ACT Seniors and Better Ageing Expo at the Old Bus Depot Building in Kingston on 23 and 24 September, bringing together thousands of older Canberrans and more than 150 exhibitors.

We are looking for organisations that go above and beyond – businesses that make older customers feel valued, services that genuinely listen to older people, community organisations that create opportunities for connection and participation, and organisations that help Canberra become a better place to age.
