Women and Creative Aging: A forum

Join Postcards from the Sky, a dynamic collective of creatives, for a forum on Creative Women and Ageing. The forum is open to all women creatives and those who are seeking to open up their creative drive and vision to what is possible. Poets and artists from Postcards from the Sky will lead and facilitate the afternoon, beginning with brief talks about their creative experience, how their age or ageing may have impacted or enhanced their practice, how they adapt to or exploit the different chapters of their lives. The wonderful performers, Somebody’s Aunt, will enrich the event with their witty, creative presentation.

The format is flexible and creative — participants will be encouraged to set the agenda for the forum, nominating what is important to them. There may be opportunities for questions and answers, small discussion groups and large group responses.

Postcards from the Sky is a group of nine culturally and generationally diverse poets and prose writers, painters, glass artists, zine makers and sculptors with some focus on art & text. They have rich and varied professional and personal lives and bring influences from their individual Irish, Australian, Anglo-Celtic, American, Scottish, South African, Aboriginal and Chinese heritages together.
