Stitching Stories: A 2-Day Embroidery and Stitching Workshop by ACT Textile Arts Association

Come join us for two gentle, creative days of stitching, laughter, and connection.

You will make a postcard sized artwork depicting one of Canberra’s many icons with a special letter of advice you wish you could have given to your younger self. No experience needed — just a love of making and sharing.

Together we will:
– Learn embroidery stitches step by step (with 2 tutors to guide you)
– Create your own hand-stitched artwork to take home
– Exhibit your work in Tuggeranong Art Centre
– Enjoy morning tea and conversation in good company

When:
Day 1 – Saturday 21 March 2026 (10:30 am – 3:30 pm)
Day 2 – Saturday 28 March 2026 (10:30 am – 3:30 pm)

Cost: $50 per person which includes, an embroidery kit that’s yours to keep (kit includes embroidery scissors, hoop and threads), instructions, tuition and morning tea.

Who it is for: Anyone over 55 who is interested in stitching, creating and sharing. All skill levels are welcome — from beginners to experienced stitchers.
