Open Rehearsal – A Chorus of Women

A Chorus of Women started with 150 women singing a Lament for the people of Iraq in the foyer of Parliament House, as the PM was about to announce Australia’s participation in the war. We have been singing ever since, writing our own songs for peace on Earth and with the Earth.
n this open rehearsal we will be preparing for our singing in a Peace Concert at the National Folk Festival on Easter Saturday, 4 April, as well as our annual Anzac Eve Peace Vigil. We are an open group and welcome all singers who share our concerns. This rehearsal will be mainly for people who are happy to listen, as we won’t have time to teach people at this occasion.
