Entertainment by seniors singing & playing ukuleles, guitars & harmonica of rock n roll songs by TUGS Ukulele Group Inc

TUGs is a community based club incorporated in the ACT & has been operating for 10 years. It’s members are primarily retired with an interest in singing & playing the ukulele, guitar, bass guitar, harmonica & percussion. We play a variety of rock n roll songs from the 50s to the 70s.

TUGS UKULELE GROUP Inc is a group of mainly retired members who enjoy singing and playing the ukulele and other complimentary instruments. We meet every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month at the Canberra Southern Cross Club, Woden. Our members range from beginners, to intermediate through to advanced skill levels. We are known as a very friendly club that welcomes visiting members from other ukulele clubs and others who are new to playing the ukulele. Our group includes a performance band for those members wishing to learn the skills of entertaining other groups in the ACT such as Care Centres, Tennis Clubs, Rotary and View Clubs and to participate at various Music Festivals.

The event we propose for UPSTAGING CANBERRA would be a performance by TUGS members at the Canberra Yacht Club. We would arrange a date and time with the Yacht Club that will suit during the Festival dates 20-29 March 2026. We would perform a variety of songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s. The audience at the Yacht can be quite large at week-ends. Our group has performed at this venue before and the weather is an important factor to consider. We can be flexible to re-schedule our performance if required.
