Climate Grief Hanky Project workshop.

Would you like to be part to this beautiful ongoing art project by stitching the likeness of an Aussie animal, bird or insect onto a handkerchief?
All materials are provided and anyone can contribute.
Please bring a packed lunch and stay for as long or as little as you like.

The project was conceived in 2020 and the first workshop was run in Wagga Wagga the week before our first covid lock down.

It has been exhibited several times since then and a digital version is held in the Legislative assembly art collection.

This will be the second workshop in what was always meant to be an ongoing travelling installation growing and bringing people together in our shared grief.

Stitching is a chance to slow down and sit with deep feelings, a kind of meditative process. The hankies created are all so special and coming together, meeting people through a shared creative experience contributes to a sense of purpose.

A form of artistic protest!
