Big Open Mic by That Poetry Thing
That Poetry Thing for Monday 23 March celebrates the UpstAGEING Canberra festival by focusing on poems about aging, and poets who are aging; but all all ages are welcome to participate. If you have a poem that reflects on aging, excellent; if you are an older poet, terrific; but as always, we welcome all kinds of poetry at our open mics.
Whether you’re an old hand at poetry, or would just like to try out your lines on a live audience; whether you write lyric, traditional, rap, experimental or prose poetry, you are very welcome at That Poetry Thing. Come along and listen; come along and take your turn on the stage; imagine what poetry can do!
