Become a member of COTA ACT
Be part of an organisation that works with and for you. At COTA ACT our members are a central part of everything we do.
COTA ACT members keep us informed of the current and emerging needs of older Canberrans.
They help us identify and deliver essential services and programs and help us effectively support seniors live their lives to the fullest.
Your membership helps to support the vital work of COTA ACT, including advocacy, advice, free digital help, seniors information, aged care navigation, housing support, classes and events.
Members of COTA ACT receive access to information and services, discounts and advance notice of COTA ACT events, discounts on some activities, advertising and room hire, regular online e-bulletins and hardcopy newsletters and full membership/voting rights.

Individual Membership
- Membership for one person aged 50+.
- $35 annual membership.
- Optional add on ($5) to receive hardcopy ONE COTA posted to your address.

Family Membership
- Membership for two or more people aged 50+ from the same household.
- $45 annual membership.

COTA ACT Supporters
Show your organisation’s commitment to seniors in our community through an annual subscription as a COTA ACT supporter.
Your support can help us to offer advice, information, services and advocacy to thousands of older Canberrans each year.
COTA ACT Supporters Package
Our supporters package includes an attractive range of discounts and partnership options – as well as the opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to the great work that COTA ACT does in our community.
Benefits
- 10% discount on Expo stall hire fees (capped at $100 per year)
- 20% discount on hall/room hire at the Hughes Community Centre
- Link and blurb about your organisation on the COTA ACT Supporters page on the COTA ACT website
- Two complimentary individual memberships
- Exclusive Supporter content provision for Midweek Matters, newsletters, presentations and community education sessions (to be negotiated)
- Opportunity to provide resources in a valued Supporters brochure display at the Hughes Community Centre (up to five publications per Supporter)
- Early and advance notice of upcoming events and activities
- Outreach sessions for COTA ACT services/programs (such as Get IT or housing advice – to be negotiated)
- Copies of COTA ACT publications delivered for distribution (such as Older Drivers Handbook or Seniors Card Discount Directory – via agreement)

Special 2023 introductory rate
- $240 per year (large/for profit organisations)
- $120 per year (NFP/for purpose organisations – using code: NFP2023)
Donate to COTA ACT
Council on the Ageing (COTA) ACT have signed up with GiveEasy to develop a donation web page. From here people are able to donate to COTA ACT directly via the online donation portal.
