COTA ACT provides a telephone line 62823777 and face to face advisory serves at our office in the Hughes Community Centre, Wisdom Street, Hughes (just by the Hughes shops) which is supported by the ACT government Health Directorate.

housing, finance, transport, care, health, medical, retirement, scooter use, falls prevention, exercise and fitness, heart moves, consumer directed care, safety, getting around Canberra, dementia, emergencies, advocacy, home library services, and more. We act as a referral service should it be required.
COTA ACT regularly talks to the media on issues affecting older people and endeavours to present positive ageing and reduce any incidents of ageism in our society.
We work with government on a range of policy issues including elder abuse, gambling, taxi industry, concessions, age friendly suburbs, legal and health issues and through this work, initiate new policy and policy changes.
We have available on a regular basis a legal service and a service to reduce the incidents of elder abuse in the ACT. These sessions need to be booked by calling 62823777.
We can issue the Seniors / My Way card at our office and are happy to help with a range of services including photocopying.
